Dozer has been home for only three days now, and am thoroughly impressed! Our boy has continued to totally blown our minds with is ability to adapt and to learn how to move in a whole new way! Grateful, unconditionally grateful.
We built a ramp yesterday for Dozer! He was very uncomfortable with the idea of walking back up the back yard steps. So, we built a DozerRamp! Sure enough, he is now ( 1 day later) able to comfortably and effortlessly get up and into the house. Incredible.
Here is a mat that works better than shingles. It is easy to cut with scissors if you leave in the sun a few hours. We put ours over a plastic ramp for getting in and out of the pool. We put ours knobby side up. Easy for dog to REALLY grip at with their nails. Only $19.98 at Tractor Supply (three times that at restaurant supply store.) https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/anti-fatigue-interlocking-mat
Thank you that looks perfect! We didn’t wind up using the left over shingles and put don’t just regular grip tape similar to this which worked well other than being hot in the sun! Luckly, we have a tractor supply a minute up the road! Thanks for the recommendation!
YAY Dozer! You have some great people for thinking of you and making such a great ramp. How’s it working out?
Glad to see that you are getting back to yard patrol. Keep it up!
Yes! Great people would be an understatment! So very grateful. He is doing incredibly well! Loves the ramp considering his favorite place is being outside! Healing beautifully and already dying to go swimming! His transition has blown me away. Absolutely amazing.
Such a great update!! And love the ramp! Dozier is clearly a well loved pupper ❤
Still take it easy Mr. Dozer. This is still very early in recovery and we do want you running marathons quite yet.😉
Hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
